FAQ
Check the questions here before contacting me.
Can I learn without a model?
Unless you want to learn self-tying, you will need a partner to tie or be tied. It is best to practice with your regular tying partner, if you have one. If you do not have a regular tying partner, you can rent one for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Where do you teach?
I teach private classes and small workshops at my private space in Lausanne, Switzerland. I am also available to travel for private classes upon request.
I want to learn a specific tie. Can you teach it?
If you are interested in learning a specific tie, please let me know and we can discuss it. I will do my best to accommodate your learning needs, but if I am not comfortable or knowledgeable enough to teach the tie, I will refer you to a qualified teacher in Switzerland.
Can you come teach at my place?
I am available to travel to your location for private classes or workshops, subject to availability and an additional fee to cover my travel costs. Please contact me to discuss your location and availability, and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
How can I support you?
If you would like to support my work, you can choose to pay the supporter price for a workshop or private class. This allows me to offer a lower price to people with low income, and it helps me to sustain and grow my teaching practice.
Do you have low income or student prices?
I offer a discounted price for low-income individuals and students who are interested in attending my workshops or private classes. This discounted price, also known as the social price, is designed to make my teaching services more accessible and affordable to people who may not have the financial means to pay the full price. If the social price is still not affordable for you, we can discuss other potential solutions.
Can I attend a workshop alone?
In most cases, you will need to have a tying partner in order to attend a workshop. If you do not have a regular tying partner, please contact me and I will do my best to pair you up with someone who is also attending the workshop and is looking for a partner. Alternatively, you can also rent a model from me, subject to availability and an additional fee.
Can you switch during the workshop?
The opportunity to switch roles during a workshop, that is to take turns tying and getting tied, will be specified in the description of the workshop. In most cases, beginners will have the opportunity to switch roles during the workshop, in order to experience the ropes from both perspectives and to develop a more well-rounded understanding of the techniques and concepts that are covered in the workshop.
